Electrical Switchboard Documentation for the Decathlon Building in České Budějovice

For Decathlon, we prepared a schematic building passport focused on documenting the electrical installation and creating electrical switchboard documentation. The objective was to produce clear and reliable documentation of the existing electrical systems to support facility management, orientation within the building infrastructure, and future maintenance activities.

The project included surveying the building and preparing schematic floor plans showing individual rooms, their areas, and the approximate locations of electrical components, particularly power outlets, lighting fixtures, and electrical switchboards.

The result is a clear 2D as-built documentation package enriched with information about the location of selected electrical equipment and electrical switchboard documentation, providing a practical basis for facility management and maintenance.

Project Challenges

The project was carried out while the retail store remained fully operational, which significantly affected the surveying process. The interior was fully equipped with retail furniture and merchandise, making it impossible to visually identify every power outlet and other electrical components.

The surveying team therefore had to carefully record all accessible information on site and pass it to the documentation specialists. During the preparation of the drawings, the collected information had to be verified, logically interpreted, and incorporated into the documentation to ensure it reflected the actual condition of the building as accurately as possible.
